This Academy Award nominated actor has a notable career, entertaining and impressing audiences and critics alike. Eric's outstanding performances have been noted in dramatic roles on both the big and small screen while his passion for acting has also been eminent in various roles on stage. Eric was nominated for an Academy Award as well as a Golden Globe for his outstanding performance in "Runaway Train". He also received Golden Globe nominations for his remarkable performance in "King of the Gypsies" and "Star 80". At the Sundance Film Festival in 1996, Roberts received critical acclaim for his starring role in the motion picture "It's My Party". He also made a profound impact in the Emmy nominated television adaptation of Truman Capote's "In Cold Blood", directed by Jonathan Kaplan and costarring Anthony Edwards. Eric starred in "La Cucaracha", the Best Film at the Austin Film Festival in 1998, and he won Best Actor in the New York Independent Film Festival that same year. In these last past years Eric has appeared with Martin Lawrence and Steve Zahn in the feature film "National Security". Eric also starred with Patrick Warburton in "The Civilization of Maxwell Bright", and amazing casts in the "serious" comedies, "Spun" and "Break a Leg". Other notable performances include his roles in "Final Analysis", "The Pope of Greenwich Village", "Raggedy Man", "Babyfever", "Heaven's Prisoners", "The Specialist" and "The Grave". Eric also won a Golden Satellite Award for the 2002 season of "Less Than Perfect".
