Paige Munro Ph.D.
Paige is currently a founder of Perform Consulting Network, a boutique consulting company which provides test development, survey and research based consulting to a variety of industries. Paige has been developing tests and surveys for almost ten years and has consulted for and worked internally within a number of Fortune 500 companies. She specializes in personality, biodata, cognitive ability and job knowledge test development, employee opinion, market research and organizational research surveys, and has specialized skills in statistics, psychometrics and research. At Perform Consulting Paige has worked for a variety of industries including entertainment, financial services, hospitality and government.
Prior to forming Perform Consulting,
Paige was the head of field selection for Metlife. She redeveloped and deployed the web based selection battery used for the field sales force as well as all back end scoring and reporting. This battery included a personality assessment tool, a biodata tool and a cognitive abilities tool. This test battery is currently administered to approximately 30,000 candidates per year. At Metlife she also developed all field sales representative interview guides and role plays, as well as conducted a variety of research on retention, recruiting practices, and training evaluation.
Previous to
Metlife, Paige was at New York / New Jersey Port Authority as a lead in the selection unit. Following the 9/11 disaster, the majority of the approximately 200 tests were lost. Paige was instrumental in redeveloping a large portion of these selection tests for Port Authority and PATH. Some highlights included the development of the selection tests for top LaGuardia, Newark and John F. Kennedy airport directors, as well as participation in the development of the Policemen battery, which was administered to approximately 20,000 candidates. At Port Authority Paige was also involved in a variety of individual and organizational research.
Prior to Port Authority,
Paige was part of the selection unit at Verizon. She was hired by Bell Atlantic and was one of only three Industrial Psychologists instrumental in merging GTE and Bell Atlantic's field force testing requirements and instruments into a seamless process used for the newly merged Verizon. She conducted research on thousands of job titles and was instrumental in the implementation of revised testing methods for the newly merged company.
Paige holds a B.S. in Psychology from Oregon State University, a M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine, as well as an M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial / Organizational Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego. In 2002 Paige won the Outstanding Doctoral Award for her dissertation. The topic was the development and validation of a new employee opinion instrument which strongly predicts employee retention and productivity. She has spoken in a variety of professional settings across the country, lecturing on employee selection, test development and how to better utilize metrics to drive productivity within organizations. Paige lives in Hoboken, NJ.
