Eliza Roberts
Eliza has led a diversified professional life. She is an actress, having appeared in NATIONAL LAMPOON’S ANIMAL HOUSE, John Landis’s first film, SCHLOCK, the feature film, LOVE IS A GUN, and numerous others. On television, you may have seen her in ALL IN THE FAMILY, MIDNIGHT CALLER, ST. ELSEWHERE, RAID ON ENTEBBE and a number of other shows.
Eliza had a hand in the acting life of several people who are major film stars today, back in the embryonic stages of their careers. At that time she encouraged them, coached them, and even treated them to two dollar dinners at AMPM Markets, because they could only afford less and would have felt guilty if they’d taken more.
As a casting director, Eliza cast John Travolta and Benjamin Bratt in CHAINS OF GOLD, back in 1989. She cast WITHOUT YOU I’M NOTHING, LOOK WHO’S TALKING, many other feature films and countless Emmy Award winning made for television movies and TV series. Her favorite casting jobs have been those where she partnered with her daughter, Morgan Simons, now working in the culinary world.
She is occupied now as a writer, having two scripts and a psychology book in the works.
By far her most fascinating achievements are her children, Keaton and Morgan (ages 28 and 25, respectively). The music of Keaton Simons and the culinary contributions of Morgan Simons are, in Eliza’s opinion, rapidly growing embryonic gems of the greatest magnitude
